Journey into the Everglades

20-year-old filmmaker Luca Martinez on a mesmerizing journey through the Florida Everglades. From swimming alongside alligators to capturing the secret lives of barred owls, Luca reveals the swamp’s beauty and complexity. Through music, aerial views, and poetic storytelling, he inspires scientists, policymakers, and over a billion online viewers to see, value, and protect wild Florida.

“I was sitting on a sea of sawgrass looking at tens of thousands of islands, reflective pools everywhere. The pig frogs were croaking, the barred owls were calling. It was nature like I had never heard it, in full surround sound.”
